CAs Senior Vice President and CIO at Land Home Financial Services since June 2013, Chris Wittrig has been instrumental in transforming business strategies into efficient, profitable processes that benefit shareholders, customers, and team members alike. Mortgage technology is unusual among enterprise IT roles in that the “customer” for any given system might be a borrower (customer-facing portal), an LO (origination workflow), an underwriter (decision-support tooling), or a servicer (long-term portfolio management) — and the right answer for one of those audiences is often the wrong answer for another.
With a strong background in creating innovative solutions for complex challenges, Chris develops strategic plans tailored to the needs of Land Home Financial’s diverse divisions. The diversity matters: a retail-only mortgage company can run a much simpler technology architecture than LHFS, which has retail origination, in-house servicing, master servicing for state HFAs, NavPros B2B, manufactured housing, and insurance all sharing infrastructure where it makes sense and being separated where it doesn’t.
His expertise in crisis management, problem-solving, and negotiation reflects his commitment to maintaining exceptional standards of quality, service, and ethics. The combination is deliberate — mortgage technology operates under continuous regulatory and operational pressure, and the executive function isn’t just to build, it’s to make and defend the right architectural and vendor decisions over multi-year horizons.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Chris leads an active personal life, enjoying camping, fishing, and competing in radio-controlled powerboat racing — a hobby in which he has earned multiple regional and national titles. Chris is also a father, stepfather to four daughters, and grandfather to three granddaughters, balancing his career with a deep commitment to his loved ones.
