Join the team — LO, ops, leadership.
LHFS is hiring across loan origination, processing, underwriting, technology, and operations. The company has been independent and founder-led for 38 years, with a culture that prioritizes long-term thinking, treating borrowers as humans, and developing people for careers, not jobs.
What brings you here today?

Four reasons people stay.
Average tenure is well above industry norms. The reasons people give in exit conversations are remarkably consistent— here are the four that come up most.
Independent & founder-led
38 years independent. No private-equity churn, no acquisition pressure. Long-term thinking is structural, not aspirational.
Real ownership of work
You're not a number. Loan officers know their files. Processors know their borrowers. Underwriters can call the LO directly when they have questions.
Specialty programs are core
If you're skilled in manufactured, VA, renovation, or community lending, you're not on the side — you're central to what we do.
Direct lender, not aggregator
Real underwriting decisions made in-house. Real servicing retained for the life of the loan. You're building real expertise, not pushing files to other companies.
What we offer.
Standard benefits done right, plus the operational structure that lets you do the job you signed up for.
How we work.
The cultural shorthand isn't on a poster anywhere — it shows up in the way files move, the way teammates talk to one another, and the way borrowers get treated on the worst day of their loan.
Borrowers are humans, not files
Every conversation is with a person making one of the largest financial decisions of their life. Tone, patience, and plain language are not optional.
The hard call is the right call
Underwriters override LOs. Compliance overrides production. Saying no when no is correct is part of the job description here.
Tenure compounds
The processor who has worked with the LO for ten years saves the borrower a week. We hire and retain for that compounding, not for the next quarter.
Specialty work is real work
Manufactured, VA, renovation, CRA — these are not side businesses. They are core to what makes LHFS distinctive, and the people who run them are central to the company.
What employees say.
Three voices, three tenures, one consistent through-line.
Eighteen years here, and the part I tell every new hire: your file is your file. Nobody is going to swoop in and take credit, nobody is going to bury you in a queue. You build a book, you keep a book, you grow with it.
I came from a shop that ran on volume metrics and intimidation. Here, an underwriter can pick up the phone and just talk to the LO. The borrower sees the difference. So does my Sunday.
Manufactured housing is treated like a real specialty, not a footnote. The training is serious, the mentorship is generous, and the company actually wants you to become the expert in your county.
How hiring works.
No black holes. No ghosting. Every applicant gets a real reply.
